Somebody needs a good pranking

I love a good prank, whether I'm on the giving or receiving end. But it must be a good prank. Which leads to the question, what is a good prank?

My definition:
creative
no distruction or injury
confusion is a big plus
not being able to identify the source is nice (which forces the prankster to come forward if they want to get credit)

And the biggy, one which I've rarely been able to pull off, the subject shouldn't realize they've been pranked. It must seem as if God, fate, nature, quantum mechanics or Schroedinger's cat (who's name was Aus Zeilensprung, not that anyone cares) has conspired against them to leave them with an odd story to tell.

The first which comes to mind (Only 'cause I'm hungry):

A co-worker of mine, while I was working in the archives of a hospital, absolutely loved to have a couple strawberry PopTarts during her 10 o'clock break. She also hated brown sugar cinnamon PopTarts. Out of the goodness (?) of my heart (?!) and her joy, I got her an unopened 12-pack of strawberry PopTarts. Sadly, there must have been a problem at the factory, for not a single strawberry PopTart was in the package.... They were all brown sugar cinnamon. Darn. I wonder how that could have happened?

Of course, it helps being able to wander over to the publishing dept, open the bottom of the box, dump out the contents, replace them with brown sugar cinnamon PopTarts and reseal the box with publishing's hot glue-goop.

Other than that, I was as shocked as anyone when the box didn't have her Tarts of preference....
